2.4 Coast Park

Completion of the Coast Park will support the region’s lifestyle appeal to skilled workers, improve connections to other major recreational areas and provide opportunities to market the coastal walking trail as a world-class coastal experience

The Adelaide Metropolitan Coast Park is a State Government initiative to develop a linear park along the metropolitan Adelaide coastline from North Haven to Sellicks Beach. Significant progress has been made through collaboration between councils and the State Government but several incomplete sections remain in Southern Adelaide.

Accelerating the completion of the trail – with an immediate focus on sections of fragmented coastal accessibility – would enhance southern Adelaide’s reputation as a lifestyle, recreation and tourism destination and deliver one of the longest walking trails in the Southern Hemisphere.

Funding support for planning study outcome on climate change adaption are required the sustain the asset.
