25 new jobs and $18million investment

The primary purpose of the McLaren Vale Overpass project is to increase capacity and safety of traffic operations at the intersection by grade separation, allowing free flow of all movements. In particular, the project will:

• Allow traffic from McLaren Vale to merge safely with high speed traffic on Victor Harbor Road.
• Enable uninterrupted right turn movements out of / into Main Road.
• Reduce queues and delays on the Main Road approach to Victor Harbor Road intersection from McLaren Vale.
• Include provision for a future duplication of Victor Harbor Road with a posted speed limit of 100km/h.
