1.8 Seaford District Centre

A vibrant community at the gateway to the south's magnificent coast and wine tourism regions

The Seaford District Centre master planned in the early 1990s has an established mix of retail, community, residential and education facilities. It is supported by the new extension to the electrified rail network and the duplication of the Southern Expressway.

The revitalisation of Seaford District Centre is informed by the Seaford District Centre Strategic Management Plan. Developed in partnership with strategic landowners and the community, the plan incorporates a shared vision statement, five key aims and five priority precincts. It is the cornerstone to deliver a vibrant and safe mixed-use centre that will grow to become the true heart for the broader Seaford community.

Council alone cannot deliver this vision, we need the support of strategic partners to turn this plan into reality by 2035.

Key to achieving this vision will be renewal of the public realm through streetscape upgrades, wayfinding and the transformation of Quarry park and the town square. Resulting in a vibrant community hub, which is well-equipped to host a range of activities that foster a strong sense of community and belonging.
